Punjab National Bank (PNB) is proud to host the prestigious PSB’s Cybersecurity Hackathon 2026, in collaboration with IIT Kanpur. This initiative is powered by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) (Ministry of Finance)/Indian Bank Association (IBA) aims to foster innovation, prototype development, and entrepreneurship in the banking and financial sectors.
About the Hackathon
PSB`s Cybersecurity Hackathon is a national-level initiative powered by the Department of Financial Services (DFS) (Ministry of Finance)/Indian Bank Association (IBA) to strengthen cybersecurity capabilities in public sector banks. This platform offers talented students from all institutes/universities, the chance to explore their potential in innovation and collaboration while solving real-world cybersecurity challenges.
Selected teams will work on critical problem statements, and the event will culminate in April 2026 with the presentation of winning prototypes showcasing their potential for real-world implementation.
Why You Should Participate:
Exciting Prizes: Win rewards worth up to Rs 11 Lakhs.
Recognition: Winners will be honored at the closing ceremony, receiving national-level recognition for their innovations.
Certificates of Excellence, Merit, or Consolation for all participants.
Skill Development: To develop an enterprise-wide software scanner solution to validate deployment of Quantum proof cipher and create cryptographic bill of material inventory for public facing applications (Web Server, API, System) along with central console management.

Team Formation:
Students from any institution are eligible to participate.
Each team should consist of atleast 3 to 4 members.
Teams must preferably be guided by a faculty member holding the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent
